Welcome new students

New student registration

A student visiting student services

How to register

We can’t wait for you to join our University of Essex family. But to become an official student here you’ll need to register first.

Online Registration for the Autumn term has now closed and will re-open again for Spring term students on Tuesday 14 December. Once your student record has been created you will receive an email to your personal email address with instructions about setting up your Essex IT account first and then completing Online Registration

Autumn term registrations

The final registration deadline for the Autumn term has now passed. All expected new students who have yet to register will be contacted via email by the Registration Team to provide information on the options available based on the academic department you had applied to join.

We would encourage all new students to familiarise themselves with the Registration Regulations
