Reading lists

At the University of Essex, we use a reading list system to make reading lists available to students online, ensuring that resources are available to students when and where they need them, to support them in their learning.

The Library manage the reading list system providing the following services:

• Supporting academic staff with using the system
• Ensuring the resources on the lists are available for students
• Communicating with module leaders about any resources that we are not able to source
• Supporting academic staff to find resources and showcasing new resources

Support with reading lists

The Library are on hand to offer to support to all staff with editing and updating their reading list.

Staff can ask for help whenever they need it whether it is a small question or if they need to make major changes to a list.

We offer:

• 1-to-1 sessions
• Group training including dedicated sessions for staff to update their lists whilst a member of library staff is on hand to answer questions
• Webinars
• Instructions including videos on our website
