Nightline provides a confidential listening, emotional support, information and supplies service, run for students by students. Our trained volunteers are available to discuss any problems you may have.

Although based in Colchester, all students are welcome to contact Nightline.

The Nightline service is open every night during term-time from 10pm to 8am. To use our anonymous and confidential listening service, you can:

  • Visit the Nightline flat (located at the back of Keynes Tower, North Colchester Campus) to speak to someone in person and to utilise our other drop-in services

  • Nightline's Infoline service (ext: 4062) can also answer any of your queries about the University, Colchester or other matters.

You can expect someone to answer your e-mail within 24 hours between the hours of 10pm and 8am.

Volunteer recruitment

Our website, and Facebook and Twitter pages, will have details on when we are opening our volunteer recruitment. We usually hold two major drives; one in October and one in January. Keep an eye out for us on the squares!
