If you have content that you would like to edit using Adobe Creative Suite, please email us using the contact details at the bottom of the page so we can arrange access for you. A member of our staff will be able to give you room access. You’ll need to bring your own personal portable hard drive to save your work
To book one of our TV studios, the radio studio or an audio booth, please use the contact email at the bottom of the page. Please provide the booking date and time and a brief description of what you would like to do.
Students of Film Studies, Journalism and Languages can book their department’s equipment through our online booking system. If you can’t see the equipment you need or can’t login, please email us using the details below.
If you're not a student of the above courses we do have some Sony PXW-X70 video cameras that can be booked by emailing us but you will need to undertake a training course before using this equipment.
If you study either Multimedia Journalism or Film Studies you have permission to store media content on The Media Centre editing server. Under the University’s COVID-19 Business Continuity Plan as of 20 March 2020 all studio and lab work should now be completed remotely. Unfortunately the Media Centre’s editing server cannot be accessed remotely.
The Facilities Office will be closed for equipment bookings from 23 March 2020 for the duration of the Easter vacation. If you already have equipment on loan please keep it in a safe and secure place. We will update communications for re-opening the Facilities Office and booking equipment when this is confirmed by the University.
While the Facilities Office is closed, you can use Zoom to carry out video and audio interviews. Zoom instructions and download.
