This is an opportunity for Year 12-13 students, as well as mature students, to spend practical time in a lab to experience Life Sciences at the University of Essex.
Please note that this event has now taken place and bookings are closed.
We're planning next year's Life Sciences Discovery Day and will update this page as soon as more information is available.
In the meantime, you can find an overview of the event below to give you an idea of what to expect.
During the day, students explore Marine and Environmental Sciences and learn about Essex's unique coastal habitats, the ecology of plants, animals and microbes, as well as tour our research aquaria.
Students also discover Biomedical Science and Molecular Biology, exploring chemicals, genes, proteins and tissues to see how modern techniques reveal the secrets of living things.
There is also an opportunity to speak with current students, ask questions about studying Life Sciences at university, and take a tour of our Colchester Campus.
