This is an opportunity for Year 12-13 students, as well as mature students, to spend practical time in a lab to experience Life Sciences at the University of Essex.
During the day students can explore Marine and Environmental Sciences and have the opportunity to learn about Essex’s unique coastal habitats, the ecology of plants, animals and microbes, and tour our research aquaria.
Students will also delve into Biomedical Science and Molecular Biology, from chemicals to genes, proteins and tissues, to discover how modern techniques can reveal the secrets of living things!
There will also be an opportunity to speak with current students, to answer any questions about studying a subject such as Life Sciences at University, and an opportunity to look around a university too.
