Starting university is an exciting journey, and we’re here to guide you every step of the way. Our From Application to Arrival webinar series is designed to support you from the moment you apply right through to your first day on campus.
Across a series of short, informative sessions, we’ll cover everything you need to know to prepare for university life at Essex. Topics include funding your studies, choosing and applying for accommodation, commuting to our Colchester campus, and what to expect from student life and support services.
You’ll hear from both staff and students get practical advice and have the opportunity to ask questions so you can feel confident and ready for the transition ahead.

This session will introduce the free and confidential services offered, including guidance on mental and emotional wellbeing and disability support.
