We understand that choosing a university is an exciting experience, but it can also be a time when you have a lot of questions. We run both self-guided and guided campus tours, allowing you to get inside knowledge about what our campuses have to offer.
We run campus tours throughout the year and at our Open Days.
Colchester Campus tours
Self-guided tours
You are very welcome to visit and take a self-guided tour around our beautiful campus. Slots are available from 10am - 4pm daily. Please email us at tours@essex.ac.uk to arrange a self-guided tour and we will send you information.
Guided tours
Let us show you around our campus and accommodation. You'll have the opportunity to meet a member of the Essex team and ask any questions you may have about life at Essex. We have a couple of different options for you.
Tours between 15 July and 18 August
We'll be running our Clearing campus tours between 15 July and 18 August 2026 instead of our standard guided tours. Everyone is very welcome, book your place on a tour. Standard tours resume on 26 August.
Virtual tour
If you are unable to visit us or would like to get a feel for the campus ahead of your visit, use our virtual tour tool to take a look around.
Virtual Open Day
We know it's not always possible to attend our Open Days so, for those who can't make it in-person, we have a virtual Colchester Open Day platform so you don't have to miss out!
