At Essex we know that employability is an important factor for students in deciding their future, and their Higher Education choices. This year, we have lots of information and activity to help your students with their HE options and routes into different careers and will be offering activity in a few ways to help you and your students make the most of National Careers Week 2023.

Online pre-recorded videos

We have a variety of pre-recorded sessions ranging from 'Is a career in Health and Social Care for me?' and 'Why History is great for careers' to finding out more about roles in our Students' Union and volunteering in our Essex Law Clinic. You can watch these online.

Bespoke talks with our academic departments

Delivered by our enthusiastic academics, our taster sessions are designed to give your students a flavour of studying a subject at undergraduate level and incorporate careers and employability within the field of study. Workshops are available across all three of our faculties and can be delivered as part of a campus visit or virtually via Zoom or Microsoft Teams to your classrooms.

Bespoke campus visits

Explore our Colchester campus and our facilities for a bespoke campus visit. Your visit can include a range of talks delivered to your students including Employability and Support at Essex and academic careers talks, such as 'A career in Psychosocial and Psychoanalytic Studies' or 'A career in Sports, Rehabilitation and Exercise Sciences.' Get in touch to book your campus visit!
