Young Onset Dementia Group

For adults diagnosed with Young Onset Dementia (under 65) who would benefit from tailored support, understanding and connection. A partner, friend or family member is welcome to attend.

Living with Young Onset Dementia can bring unique challenges around work, family responsibilities, identity, and independence. Our Young Onset Dementia Group provides a warm, supportive space to explore these experiences alongside others who truly understand.

This group offers opportunities to:

  • Connect with peers in a friendly, relaxed environment.
  • Learn practical strategies to support memory, communication, and everyday living.
  • Engage in gentle, supported movement designed to improve strength, mobility, and overall wellbeing.
  • Build confidence through meaningful and enjoyable activities.
  • Access information, resources and guidance tailored to younger people with dementia.

Alongside the main group, family members, partners, and friends will have access to a separate, supported space where they can:

  • Explore how they are feeling.
  • Share experiences with others in similar situations.
  • Build their own support network.
  • Gain information and guidance to help them in their caring role.

Sessions are delivered by health and social care students under the supervision of our registered clinical team, ensuring a safe, person centred and empowering experience.

Whether you have received a recent diagnosis or have been living with Young Onset Dementia for some time, you are warmly welcomed.
