Communication and Confidence Group (Online)

Two people sitting on a sofa and talking. A third person with their back to the camera is slightly out of frame on the right.

Have you lost your confidence when talking? Maybe after a stroke or other neurological condition?

Join our online group sessions, led by healthcare students and supported by an Occupational Therapist. In a small, supportive group, we'll explore topics such as conversations, meeting new people, managing communication and fatigue, self-advocacy, and handling difficult or emotional discussions. You'll learn practical strategies to help build your confidence when communicating with others.

The group will run for six weeks. Sessions are for an hour, and you will need to book into the six-week workshop.

For more information and to access this service, please complete an adult services referral form (.docx) and email it healthwellbeingcare@essex.ac.uk and a member of the team will be in touch to discuss your referral.
