This cluster captures specialisms and common interests of staff and postgraduate research students in the sphere of law and technology broadly conceived.

Our research addresses contemporary legal issues in the areas of Information Technology, Online Media and Social Media Platforms, Media Regulation, Data Protection and ePrivacy, Intellectual Property, Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Speech. Our experts meet through seminars and workshops which aim to support staff career development, enrich the postgraduate student experience and give early-career as well as more experienced academics the opportunity to explore cutting-edge areas of research. The TechLaw cluster is also committed to fostering collaboration on larger research projects not only between multiple academic departments but also with other institutions, industry stakeholders and funding agencies.
