Student mail

Student mail is sorted and delivered into accommodation areas daily except weekends, bank holidays and during University closures. Full details of the arrangements for each of the accommodation areas can be found below.

Towers, Wolfson Court, North Houses or South Courts

Student mail is delivered into the post room and sorted into the accommodation kitchens daily except weekends, bank holidays and during University closures.

Any mail not collected from the designated area in student accommodation will be returned to the post room after three weeks. It is then endorsed or returned to sender.

Larger items of post are kept in the post room along with mail to be signed for. We will notify you via email when there is an item to collect. You must bring your registration card to be scanned to collect this mail.

The post room opening times

The post room is located in 4N.3.0, on floor 3. It can be accessed by taking the lift situated inside entrance 4NW, next to the Campus Shop.

The post room is open from 10am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday all year round, excluding bank holidays and the University closure period between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

The Copse and Meadows

Student mail is delivered to the Copse reception and delivered into the accommodation kitchens daily except weekends, bank holidays and during University closures.

Any mail not collected from the designated area in student accommodation is returned to the Copse reception after three weeks. It is then endorsed or returned to sender.

Larger items of post are kept at the Copse reception along with mail to be signed for. Staff will notify you via email when there is an item to collect. You must bring your registration card to be scanned to collect this mail.

Copse reception opening times

The Copse reception is located on the ground floor of the Poplars.

Items of post can be collected from the Copse reception between 9am - 4pm Monday to Friday all year round, excluding bank holidays and the University closure period between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

University Quays

Student mail is delivered to the Quays reception and sorted into accommodation areas. It is delivered into the accommodation kitchens daily except weekends, bank holidays and during University closures.

Any mail not collected from the designated area in student accommodation is returned to the Quays reception after three weeks. It is then endorsed or returned to sender.

Larger items of post are kept at the Quays reception along with mail to be signed for. Staff will notify you via email when there is an item to collect. You must bring your registration card to be scanned to collect this mail.

The Quays reception is located on the ground floor in Matthews Quay House 1.

Items of post can be collected from the Quays reception between 9am - 4pm Monday to Friday all year round, excluding bank holidays and the University closure period between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

University Square

Student mail is delivered to University Square reception and sorted into accommodation areas. It is delivered to into the accommodation kitchens daily except weekends, bank holidays and during University closures. Studio flats' post is delivered to the pigeon holes.

Any mail not collected from the designated area in student accommodation is returned to University Square Reception after three weeks. It is then endorsed or returned to sender.

Larger items of post are kept at University Square reception along with mail to be signed for. Staff will notify you via email when there is an item to collect. You must bring your registration card to be scanned to collect this mail.

University Square reception opening times

The University Square reception is located on the ground floor, just inside the main entrance to the building.

Items of post can be collected from the University Square reception between 9.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday all year round, excluding bank holidays and the University closure period between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. There is a limited out-of-hours service available.

If you do not live in University-owned or administered accommodation and arrange for an item or items to be delivered to the post room, we will notify you via email when there is an item to collect. You must bring your registration card to be scanned to collect this mail.

Amazon lockers

You can arrange for your Amazon purchases to be delivered to the Amazon lockers, which are in the entrance corridor to 3NE (off Square 3). To use these lockers, just add them to your Amazon address book and select them as your delivery address.
