MFA is currently enabled for all University Office 365 related services. These include:
No, all staff and students are required to have their accounts protected when accessing MFA enabled services.
No. There is a "remember me" option so you will only need to authenticate periodically.
The recommendation is at least two, so if you forget your mobile phone, for example, you have another method set up.
No, you will not be charged for receiving verification text or calls if you choose this method.
It happens. You left your mobile device at home, and now you can't use your phone to verify who you are. Maybe you previously added an alternative method to sign in to your account, such as through your landline telephone number. If so, you can use this alternative method now.
If you did not add an alternative verification method, please contact the IT Helpdesk.
Not receiving your verification code is a common problem. The problem is typically related to your mobile device and its settings. Here are some actions you can try.

If you've lost or had your mobile device stolen, you can take either of the following actions:
The IT Helpdesk can make the appropriate updates to your account. After your settings have been reset, you'll be prompted to set up MFA again the next time you sign in.
You'll need to set up MFA each time you get a new device.

Tip: Don't forget to remove your data before getting rid of old devices - remove MFA from the device, delete all your information, restore it to its factory settings and wipe any memory cards.
If you have a new phone number, you'll need to update your security verification method details.
This enables your verification prompts to go to the right location. To update your verification method, sign in to your University Office 365 account and update your settings.
