Frontrunners is the university’s own, part-time, internship scheme, designed specifically for students with very little or no work experience. Frontrunners is here to develop your skills, knowledge, and experience in a supportive, familiar environment.

Key dates and working hours

You’ll work part-time:

Either 10 hours a week over spring term (100 hours) or 10 hours a week over spring term plus 50 hours in Easter vacation (150 hours).

  • Interviews in November
  • Start your internship from 16 January 2023.

As a paid Frontrunner you will be expected to demonstrate commitment and a desire to develop within the role.


As a Frontrunner, you will earn £10.07 per hour.

Internships will run for up to a maximum 150 hours over a period of 10-14 weeks depending on requirement.

You will be paid monthly in arrears into your UK bank account, according to how many hours you worked in the previous month.
