Frontrunners is the university’s paid internship scheme, offering a day of work each week throughout spring term.
It’s designed for students looking for their first work experience in a specific field of interest. Frontrunners is here to develop your skills, knowledge, and experience in a supportive, familiar environment.

Dates and key information
This year’s internships will take place throughout spring term from 15 January until 22 March 2024.
You will need to be a current registered student until July 2024, and not have existing experience in the field/sector of the internship, to be eligible.
You will need to be to commit to work one full day of 7.2 hours or two half days of 3.6 hours a week.
Frontrunner internships are a development opportunity with essential training.
You can apply for up to five roles via GradIntelligence during October 2023, and if you are shortlisted you will be invited to interview in November 2023.
All successful Frontrunners will be offered internships of 7.2hrs a week for 10 weeks, at £10.87 per hour.
