Lab report writing for the biosciences

This course is about writing a scientific lab report, a type of assessment that many students have not encountered before attending university.

The standard and format of a scientific paper format lab report at university level differs substantially from a lab report a student may have written in school. This tutorial aims to provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to take this next step in your education.

All the basics of structure and formatting are covered and detail is provided on what should be included in each section as well as some useful hints and tips to help you produce first class lab reports and improve your scientific writing style.

This content was prepared by Dr Caroline Howlett, a lecturer at the University who teaches Biology.
