Graduation Assistance Fund
If you are eligible to attend a Spring Graduation ceremony in April 2024 or Summer Graduation ceremony in July 2024 and you’re experiencing financial difficulty when booking opens for guest tickets and gown hire, you may be eligible for financial assistance towards the cost of your gown hire and up to two guest tickets
If you apply for this fund, please do not purchase tickets or a gown while your application is being assessed. If tickets for your ceremony are still available, up to two guest tickets and a gown will be reserved for you by the Graduation and Awards Team when you submit your application until you receive an outcome
Payment arrangements
If eligible, and if tickets for your ceremony have not sold out, you will be granted up to two guest tickets free of charge and/or a gown will be provided free of charge on the day of your ceremony.
How to apply
The deadline to apply for the Spring Graduation Assistance fund is 15 March 2024
The deadline to apply for the Summer Graduation Assistance fund is 15 June 2024
To apply for the Graduation Assistance Fund, you will need to do the following:
- Ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria detailed in the terms and conditions below
- Carefully read the terms and conditions
- Visit Blackbullion to access the fund. You will need to register for the Blackbullion online money management website if you do not already have an account using your external email address
- Click the ‘Funds’ tab and select ‘Spring Graduation Assistance Fund or Summer Graduation Assistance Fund’ alternatively use the search facility to find the fund
- Follow the instructions to complete the application form, upload the required evidence and submit your application
Note: your application will not be assessed until you submit a full and complete application form which includes all necessary evidence to complete an assessment.
