Emergency and non-emergency contact details for first aid or incidents requiring security or police attendance are listed below. Add the phone numbers for your residence and/or campus to your mobile phone, so you have them to hand.

    Academic buildings

    Emergencies

    Do not dial 999 yourself. Telephone extension 2222 or 01206 872222

    By calling our number instead, Campus Patrol or Security Officers can direct the emergency services to the exact site of the emergency without delay.

    Non-emergencies

    Telephone the Security and Safety Centre on extension 2125 or 01206 872125, or a trained first aider in your department if there is one.

    Student accommodation

    Make sure you understand the emergency and non-emergency procedures for getting first aid or security help in your residence. Following the procedures correctly is a requirement of your accommodation terms and conditions.

    The Towers, The Houses, South Courts and Wolfson Court

    Emergencies

    2. Ask for the required service - first aid, ambulance, security - and give your location.

    Do not call 999 yourself. Patrol Officers, who are trained first aiders, are available 24 hours. They will assess the situation and arrange attendance of emergency services where required.

    Non-emergencies

    The Copse, The Meadows and The Quays

    For both emergencies and non-emergencies

    There is 24-hour security available.

    Patrol Officers are located on Square 3 in the Security and Safety Centre. They’re here to help you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They’re friendly and always willing to assist. All are first aiders.
