Site Visits: Adnams Brewery

MBA students visit Adnams brewery
Adnams Southwold is a British beer company that has a long history stretching back 670 years. The value of this beer company is rooted in making great products without costing the earth, so they focus on the sustainable operation. The purpose of the MBA visit is to understand a company's business strategy and execution plan for sustainability.
MBA students visited Adnams Brewery in Southwold in January 2019.

Our MBA students participated in a workshop regarding the Adnams Sustainability story by Richard Carter, Head of Finance and Sustainability at Adnams.

The board room presentation discussed the company’s four-pillar approach to Environmental and Social Responsibility: Carbon; Water; Waste; Biodiversity.

The students then took part in a tour of the brewery and distillery led by Benedict Orchard, Environmental Sustainability Manager at Adnams before being treated to lunch in the Adnams café. The buffet lunch was held in the quirky pod built inside and old brewing equipment.

Low alcohol beer was available to sample. Students had an opportunity to ask questions and then explore the vast array of merchandise in the Adnams shop.
