A black female student sits at a table in the University of Essex's Innovation Centre cafe with her Apple laptop. She has a warm and infectious smile and her long braids hang over her shoulder and down her grey turtleneck sweater. She is in conversation with a male student who is facing towards the female student, we cannot see his face but he had black hair, a black beard and a black sweater.

An MBA could be one of the best investments you will ever make. However, it’s also a big financial commitment. That’s why we offer a range of scholarships to help you to fund your MBA.

Essex MBA Dean’s award

At Essex Business School we are proud to make a huge £400,000 worth of fee discounts available for the Essex MBA. These are available to students funding their own MBA studies starting in January or October 2024. Early application is advised.

Both part-time and full-time MBA students are eligible. To earn an award you’ll have to impress during your MBA interview, the most important part of the application process.

Wherever your assessment takes place we’ll be assessing your:

  • academic merit
  • work experience (quality of work experience, not simply time served)
  • ideas on sustainable and entrepreneurial business
  • ability to communicate experience and ideas
  • plans for utilising the Essex MBA experience after the course

We also offer a 10% discount if you previously studied at Essex on a study abroad programme for at least one term.

These loyalty discounts cannot be used in conjunction with the Essex MBA Dean’s Award.
