People

Our People strand develops and implements employment policies, procedures, and services that support the delivery of the University’s strategic goals and provide colleagues with support throughout their employment.  The People strand is grouped into two portfolios: Employment Services and Employee Wellbeing.    

Employment Services

• The Employment Services and Business Operations teams are responsible for managing employment services and systems, career development services, and providing first-line support for all queries.
• Our Employee Relations team provide strategic and operational employment advice and guidance to staff and managers on a range of enquiries relating to their employment at the University.  team provide strategic and operational employment advice and guidance to staff and managers on a range of enquiries relating to their employment at the University. 
• The Learning Design team are responsible for designing and developing learning content across the section to build understanding and develop skills in our communities.
• Our Professional Development team provides support for education, management, leadership and professional practices.  This includes staff apprenticeships, teaching qualifications and recognition schemes, and related accreditations.  
• The Organisational Development and Talent team (Resourcing) are responsible for ensuring we have the right staff with the right skills at the University and help to develop the people structures, systems and processes needed to deliver the University’s strategic aims.
• Our Reward team are responsible for ensuring all payroll and pension payments are made accurately. 

Employee Wellbeing

• Our Occupational Health team actively promotes and maintains good health in the University workplace as well as providing support when health issues occur.
• The Health and Safety team provides technical advice, training, and support to help you and the University meet legal requirements and provide a safe working environment
