Financial Accounting and Capital

The Financial Accounting and Capital Team are responsible for a wide variety of areas including:

Production of the University Group Financial Statements.
The day-to-day management of Subsidiary Companies (excluding University of Essex Campus Services and Wivenhoe House Hotel) including the servicing of Board meetings and the production of Financial Statements.
Cashflow and Treasury Management, including Investment of funds, processing same day and International payments.
Responsibility for the financial elements of the Capital Investment Programme.
Working with external stakeholders such as External Auditors, Investment Managers and Banks.
Accounting for Income and Expenditure relating to Partnership Institutions.
Processing grants and awards from Research Councils and other bodies for student bursaries.
Financial support on major strategic projects.
