Career Mentoring programme

Supporting your next steps

The Career Mentoring programme at Essex matches you with an industry professional who can support your next steps whether that’s maximising your opportunities to secure a graduate role, strengthening your professional confidence, or growing your networks.

What will I get out of it?

Learn about career paths and sectors from someone with industry experience.
Get honest insight into salaries, entry routes, and what employers expect.
Develop practical skills in networking, communication, and time management.
Ask questions, share ideas, plan for your future.

How does it work?

We’ll connect you to a Career Mentor who has specific knowledge and expertise in your chosen industry or sector. Attend a webinar, fill in the application form and get matched!

When and how will I meet my mentor?

You will have a minimum of four one to ones with your mentor over 2 – 3 months. Meetings will be set at a pace to suit both you and your mentor.

How can I apply?

Sign up and attend one of our introductory webinars to find out how to get the most out of the mentorship. Places will open for bookings in Autumn 2026.
