Event Essex organise non-residential events throughout the year and residential events from July to September. The team can help you with conferences, holiday or group accommodation, sports camps, summer courses, exhibitions, and more.
Event management service
The event management service has been designed to take the hassle out of running smaller events. The service applies to events where the attendees are internal or no charge is made to those attending. Events with external attendees and where delegates are being charged to attend will be subject to the internal day delegate rates.
The Event Essex team can organise a range of services including booking meeting rooms, providing AV Equipment and technical assistance and arranging accommodation on campus or at local hotels.
Work out your event specification. Think about your event's date(s) and duration and the number of attendees. Make a note of any specific meeting room layouts and capacities that you'll need, as well as other breakout/presentation areas. Also consider your audio-visual, catering and accommodation requirements. You may also have a maximum budget, but if you're not sure what your event will cost we can help you with this.
Have a tour and planning meeting with Event Essex or Wivenhoe House. We'll then send you a proposal for your event with a costing and hold your dates provisionally.
If you want to go ahead, complete the booking form we send you and pay your booking fee.
We'll then send you a contract for you to fill in and return, along with your deposit.
We'll hold a final planning meeting with you, where we'll confirm the details of your event.

Hold your successful event!
We'll issue a final invoice and hold an event evaluation.
