Junior courses

Utilising our brand new climbing wall, our varied and fun-filled sessions provide the perfect spring-board to get into climbing.

Led by nationally qualified instructors, children aged 8 or above will learn the basics of bouldering and safety, challenging themselves and reaching new heights.

Courses are divided into six week blocks, either side of the school half-term. We provide all the equipment, so all you need to do is enrol to start your climbing journey at Essex Sport!

Take a look at our current junior courses timetable (.pdf) for more details.

Climbing parties

One of our most popular party packages, you'll experience a variety of fun climbing-based activities, games, and challenges in the bouldering cave and main climbing area.

Under the expert supervision of our qualified instructors, you'll begin with a safety talk and warm up, before having the opportunity to belay, traverse and climb the wall!

Climbing parties can be booked in groups of either 8 or 16.

Visit our Parties page or email sportsdevelopment@essex.ac.uk for more information.
