Why Essex?

With students from over 140 different countries, Essex is the world in one place. We have 133 students from Spain, so you will feel right at home here! Many of our Spanish students are studying courses in our departments of Government, Essex Business School and Economics.

Hear from our Spanish students and alumni

Read about Spanish graduate Nina Beckmann Gamez's experience studying BA International Relations and Modern Languages, including her year abroad in Brazil.
Essex has become my new home since the first day I arrived here. The most valuable experience that I have had in Essex is the possibility of meeting people from different countries; learn from other cultures makes you develop as a person. This university offers you as well a lot of social activities mainly organized by the Student Union with the purpose of making our time here better and more enjoyable. If you are thinking of studying at Essex, do it. You will not regret it!
