I came to this country when I was 16 years old and everything was so new to me. The Russia educational system is so different to here. In the UK you have a lot more freedom surrounding what you want to study. Essex has definitely lived up to my expectations. I came to Essex and it was a completely clean sheet. I’ve been able to write my story whilst I’ve been here; I’ve developed as a person and taken part in so many different activities, student union societies and sports. It was about finding myself and who I am. I am so grateful to Essex, for all the opportunities that I have been given. I really feel like I have evolved as a person.
