Graduate Laboratory Assistant, School of Sport, Rehabilitation and Exercise Sciences
My primary research interest is how social psychology can be applied in sporting contexts; especially exploring whether the social support athletes receive from others is helpful; unhelpful; or even harmful? Two key objectives are:
1) to investigate how the interactions between wanted support; requested support; and received support influence support satisfaction and performance-related outcomes;
2) to explore whether the findings above can be generalised to different ethnic/cultural groups.
I am also interested in how physical activity; especially mindfulness exercise; can be helpful to treat mental disease.;
