We welcome everyone to use the Wivenhoe Park Diamond Jubilee Disc Golf Course. The parkland has been voted one of the top ten green spaces in the UK and ask that all visitors respect that this is home to the University of Essex and that everyone is familiar with our Do’s and Don’ts before visiting Wivenhoe Park.
Everyone using the course needs to check-in at the Reception of the University Sports Hall to book onto the course, and receive a score card.
The course should take, depending on ability and size of your group between 1.5 - 2.5 hours.

Students and Staff members - Free
Fees to use the course are payable at the Sports Centre reception adjacent to the Hole 1 Tee Pad.
There is no charge for visitors from 24 December to 2 January each year.

The Diamond Jubilee Course is open seven days a week from 9am with the last tee off at 5pm. .
The course occasionally hosts events throughout the year, and at times may be closed to visitors. On occasion building and electrical works may result in the course closing at short notice.
Visitors are recommended to contact the University Sport's Centre on 01206 873250 in advance of coming to the campus.
Discs are available to purchase from the Sports Centre reception – prices start from £10.00.
BBQ’s are not permitted anywhere within the park other than in the designated areas by the lake. This is available to book for University of Essex staff and students via the estates management helpdesk. In Square 4 and 5 of the campus we have cafes, food outlets and toilets. Visitors are always welcome. Showers and locker rooms are available in the Sports Centre and a café is open at the Sports Pavilion on Saturdays and Sundays most weekends of the year. There is no water tap or toilets on the course.
Our Colchester Campus is two miles from the historic city of Colchester – England's oldest recorded settlement.
How to get to our campus and on-campus parking.
The course is cart friendly and dog (on leads) friendly. Dogs must be kept on leads at all time and cleaned up after, should they foul. Dog waste bins can be found throughout the park.
