Why Essex?

Here at Essex we welcome students from more than 140 countries to our campuses with open arms. Over a third of our student population are from outside of the UK so you’ll feel right at home.
I chose to come to Essex because of the course and the location of the university. It was really easy to make friends. Essex is a cosmopolitan campus and it's really interesting to learn about everyone's cultures and backgrounds. You also get a lot of support from the academic staff and there is always someone to talk to about any issues you may have with your course. I think the University of Essex is a great university and it has so much to offer; not just academically but socially as well. It's also a very international campus which is great because you learn a lot more than you think!
