Examining the interplay between individuals and society

Our research cluster focuses on key themes of identity and subjectivity, oral history and personal narrative, and the culture industry.

This research cluster comprises members of staff working on questions of culture, history, memory, identity and conversation. Key research questions focus on the complex narratives, and the interplay between individuals and society in the creation of their own identities and personhood.
