Last year I went abroad to Canada. It’s always been a life time goal of mine to go away and study and do a placement abroad, working in sports. You face challenges in the placement itself; always learning new things, being put into difficult situations you have to combat and just general lifestyle stuff like being away from home for so long. If you don’t maintain a support network around you, it’s really easy to suffer from it.
But always trying to be positive about every situation, keeping your end-goal in mind, what you went there to achieve; always having that in your mind will help you get through the dark days and eventually lead to brighter ones. Going through the whole journey, with the challenges and good memories, I was really pleased. Looking back, that’s something I’m proud to have achieved.
I get inspiration from seeing results, seeing the people around me proud and happy. That always inspires me to keep achieving more and doing better.
