Biography

Tom's research focuses on using creative writing to respond to the challenges inherent in Dipesh Chakrabarty's 'Four Theses', making particular use of the techniques and conventions of the fantasy genre and its appropriation of the language of myth to evoke and depict an historic narrative of the anthropocene. He has also published shortfiction with the British Fantasy Society: 'On Well-Wishers' (Horizons #8, 2018) 'Broehain' (Horizons #12, 2020) Papers delivered: 'Narrating the Anthropocene: mythic fantasy and Chakrabartys Four Theses' - Eastercon 2021
