Clearing 2021

Why Essex?

Here at Essex we welcome students from more than 140 countries to our campuses with open arms. Over a third of our student population are from outside of the UK so you’ll feel right at home.
I heard about the University from my tutor back at the University of Malta and I chose to study at Essex because of the large and theoretically-diverse linguistics department. I settled in very quickly! I live in the Quays and I like its quiet off-campus location. My favourite parts of the University are the lectures and the socialising aspect. My advice to other Maltese students would be to put the quality of a University’s departments first when deciding where to study.
