Profile

Biography

Analisa Pais is a lecturer within the School of Health and Social Care at the University of Essex. She has completed her PhD in Clinical Speech and Language Studies at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. She holds a specialisation certificate in Voice Rehabilitation following Laryngectomy (IN) and a Bachelor’s degree in Audiology and Speech, Language Pathology (IN). Analisa’s research work revolves around social reintegration of people with acquired communication disorders, specifically communication partner training for aphasia. Analisa has methodological expertise in cross-cultural and linguistic adaptation, exploratory and experimental research in majority world contexts and applying and extending communication theory to aphasia. Analisa is a member of the Collaboration of Aphasia Trialists (CATs) Societal Impact and Re-integration Research working group and is the Deputy Lead of the CATs Facebook Dissemination group.
