Profile

Biography

I have worked in research and clinical rehabilitation since 1990, the year I qualified as a Chartered Physiotheraist (North East London Polytechnic, & London Hospital School of Physiotherapy). I completed a PhD in Neuropsychology in 1997 (University of Birmingham). I led the Oliver Zangwill Centre for Neuropsychological Rehabilitation (Ely, UK) 2002-19. I hold an Affiliated Lectureship at University of Cambridge Dept of Psychiatry. I am interested in wide range of topics including 1) outcome research particularly in relation to modern psychometric approaches such as Rasch Analysis. 2) social media in rehabilitation, 3) holistic neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation, especially from the point of view of use of assistive technology, 4) specific aspects of neuropsychology - executive functions, dyspraxia, attention impairments I am Director of NIHR Research Design Service for East of England, President of The Society for Research in Rehabilitation and Chair of the United Kingdom Acquired Brain Injury Forum. see twitter @DrAndrewBateman for news
