Biography

I became an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Literature, Film and Theatre Studies (LiFTS) at the University of Essex in 2021 where I teach on a literary theory module entitled LT204: Criticism: Practice and Theory. I also have a keen interest in outreach and social engagement with the public. Between 2018-2019 I worked for the Outreach team at the University of Essex running projects and events with students and young people to raise aspirations and address concerns about studying at a Higher Education level. In 2020, I was awarded a month long fellowship as part of the Visiting Scholars Program at the Armstrong Browning Library located at Baylor University, Texas, USA- this trip should take place in Spring 2022. I was awarded the Stephen Copley Research Award from the British Association for Romantic Studies (BARS) in 2021.
