Biography

My current research focusses on measuring rape myth acceptance and its predictors and consequences, as part of my PhD research on sexism and challenging sexism to mitigate negative consequences for women. I have a special interest in teaching and mentoring, and I have recently won the Excellence in Education Graduate Lab Assistant of the Year Award, 2021. This article details my teaching merits over the COVID-19 pandemic, which led me to win this award: https://www.essex.ac.uk/news/2022/02/02/hazel-sayer-excellence-in-education-award.
