If you're an overseas (non EU) undergraduate, you're guaranteed accommodation if you apply by the deadline and started your course before 2017-18.
If you are applying for a new course or if you have completed the East 15 Theatre Arts Foundation and have been successful in getting a place on one of their degree programmes, you will need to apply as a new student.

We have rooms available for South Essex College students at University Square.
Good news! If apply by 5pm on Friday 19 March 2021, you will receive £500 credit back (which will be paid in December 2021). You can apply after the date above, but you won't qualify for this promotion.
If you have withdrawn temporarily from Essex (intermitted) during the first term of the first year of study and decide to return the following academic year, you may re-apply for accommodation.
How to apply
Contact us in January of the year in which you intend to return to your studies.
You're welcome to request an allocation with your friends. You should list their PRIDs in the 'additional information' field on the application form. Each of your friends must also submit their own separate application and have the same preferences as you. Please note that we cannot guarantee we will be able to allocate you and your friends as a group.
If you are not able to pay your advanced rent payment at the point of acceptance, please contact the Student Information Team in the Student Services Hub.
Please do not try and pay your advanced rent payment via the student online payment system. We have experienced difficulty tracing such payments in the past and this option has therefore been discontinued.
If you accept your accommodation offer you will be entering into a legal contract with Accommodation Essex and you will be liable to pay the rent for your room for the period stated on your offer letter.
