Egyptian student Zein
Studying at Essex was not simply a life-changing experience; it was beyond mind-blowing, the mixture of great academics alongside the international community at Essex truly presents a phenomenal experience. From the modules’ materials, the feedback sessions, the personal tutors, and mentors; I started to appreciate the quality of education rather than just seeking a bachelor’s degree. Yet I believe that Essex is truly unique in how it doesn’t only encourage but also gives various opportunities to increase their students’ level of employability, during and after their studies.

The Department of Government has a solid reputation for politics and human rights. I believed the combination of both subjects would satisfy my diverse interests. I enjoyed the variety of subjects offered by the Department. I also took Spanish and French. Studying at Essex gave me networking, research and communication skills. I now work as an Economic Researcher at the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt.
