The role of Senate Agenda Group is to propose items of business for future meetings of Senate. Its constitution and functions are governed by Ordinance 17. Its members comprise those members of the Senate that are elected to the Council, and the President of the Students’ Union, and it normally meets four times per year, in advance of each meeting of Senate.

The members of Senate Agenda Group will support the awareness and visibility of Senate across the broader University community and provide a route through which issues that are relevant to the remit of Senate can be considered at a relevant Senate Agenda Group meeting.

In addition to chairing meetings of the Senate Agenda Group, the Chair also contributes to our work to increase the visibility of the work of Senate across the broader University Community.  The Chair’s latest blog post was published in December 2023.

The SU President will engage with relevant Students’ Unions networks and processes so that they are able to contribute student views and reflect the student voice at meetings of Senate Agenda Group.
