The Department of Economics and ISER jointly organise the Essex PhD Conference in Applied Economics
Our Integrated PhD programme, the first year of which is formed of the MRes, continues to feed well into the research phase of the PhD itself and provides an additional stream of well-qualified students in addition to those entering directly into the 3-year PhD programme. Engagement of potential PhD students with doctoral research supervisors during the MRes year is actively encouraged and facilitated.
