The Technician Commitment is a university and research institution initiative, with support from the Science Council, UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and the Gatsby Charitable Foundation’s Technicians Make It Happen campaign.

Our University is a signatory of the Technician Commitment since 2017 and pledges to ensure the visibility, recognition, career development and sustainability of our technical staff.

The survey has been tailored to align with the 4 pillars of the Technicians Commitment’s initiative, as described above. This aims to tackle the key challenges affecting technical staff across all disciplines. It will provide us with an understanding of the diverse nature of technical roles within our University and will enable us to deliver positive change. The results of the NTDC survey will subsequently feed into our next Technician Commitment Action Plan, to ensure that your needs as technicians are met.
