Why Essex?

For many years we have welcomed students from Kazakhstan onto our undergraduate and postgraduate courses. We are a truly international university with students from over 140 countries.
I first heard about the university from a website about the top 500 universities in the world. I decided to come to Essex on the advice of a friend who obtained a masters degree from the department of Economics.I have many friends in the university. I met most of my friends in classes, especially during the in-sessional English classes, in the Quays – the students’ residences where I live, and through the societies and clubs that I belong to.
