Why Essex?

With students from over 140 different countries, Essex is the world in one place. We currently have 157 students from Latin America studying at the University.
Before I came to the UK I applied to a number of universities; the admissions people at Essex were the most helpful of all and because of this and Colchester’s proximity to London I decided to come here. I am studying a BSc in Psychology and I am really enjoying all my courses, especially those focused on child development. I have met many people at the university, and what is best is that all my best friends are studying the same courses as me. Essex is one of the most international universities in the UK and this is the reason why it doesn’t matter where the students come from no one will feel out of place!
