The session will cover:
- identifying and overcoming psychological barriers
- highlighting perceived external barriers and how to navigate them
- the legal context - disabled candidates' rights and how to exercise them
- the graduate recruitment process and sorts of adjustments available
- when, why and how to talk about disability during the recruitment process
- being open minded and realistic in your search, including what opportunities are available and where to find them
- finding disability friendly employers
This session is aimed at students with neurodiversities, mental health conditions and other disabilities. It will be a safe space to ask questions (anonymously if you prefer).
