Our world-renowned academic experts are involved in a wide range of research projects which have real impact around the world.

For example, Dr Davide Valeriani's research focuses on how 'mind-reading' technology can help businesses, surgeons, police officers and others make decisions.

Dr Vishuu Mohan is developing new robotic technology to improve the efficiency of strawberry picking, working closely with world-famous jam makers Wilkin & Sons.

Professor Stuart Walker has been heavily involved in a Knowledge Transfer Partnership between Essex and ABER Electronics to revolutionise live broadcasting of large sports event, such as the Australian Grand Prix and the Ryder Cup.
