Summer Abroad

There are numerous research opportunities to enhance your research skills and knowledge. These are more suitable for PhD or graduate students but there may be some research opportunities if you're an undergraduate student. Some of them might include summer research schools, research internships or participating in a research project abroad.

Usually, your host organisation will be able to advise you if you need a visa for your programme. However, if you are at Essex on a Tier 4 visa, you should also reach out to the International Services Team to gain their advice. Usually, Essex can support your summer programme as a "supplementary study" but you should check with the team who can give the best advice for your situation.
