Wellbeing check-ins

During significant times of change it is important we all take time to think about our wellbeing and any additional support we may need to maintain this.

Occupational Health is offering a 20-minute well person check-in with a clinician (by appointment only). This confidential assessment could include:

  • Signposting to improve diet and exercise
  • Weight management – we can help you work out your Body Mass Index and where you can get support if needed
  • Blood Pressure/pulse check
  • Smoking Cessation
  • Alcohol advice
  • Managing Stress
  • How to access support for your mental health
  • Getting the most out of a GP appointment

You can book a wellbeing check-in session by emailing ohquery@essex.ac.uk

NHS health checks

If you are eligible and wanted to engage with a free NHS Health Check, which includes assessment of cholesterol levels and cardiac risk factors you can access this through the Health, Wellbeing and Care Hub based at Clingoe House, Colchester University Campus.

Work related issues

If you have concerns about your health and work or the requirement for reasonable adjustments we would request that you ask you manager to refer you to occupational health and we can then allocate the right amount of time needed to fully explore these issues.  Please contact OH Query at ohquery@essex.ac.uk if you have any questions.
