Biography

Lina Barakat is a Postdoctoral Fellow (Institute for Analytics and Data Science) in the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering. She received the PhD degree in Computer Science from King’s College London in 2013. Previously, she was a teaching fellow in Computer Science at King’s College London (January 2018 - September 2018). Before that, she was a research associate at King’s College London, working on two projects: JASPR (Justified Assessment of Service Provider Reputation), and DIET4Elders (addressing the problem of malnutrition among older adults). She has research expertise in service-oriented systems, optimisation algorithms, semantic modeling, trust and reputation mechanisms, and machine learning.
