Biography
Konstantinos Baltas is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Banking and Finance at the Finance group of Essex Business School and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Prior to his appointment he was a Lecturer in Banking and Finance at the University of Essex and a Fellow in the Department of Finance of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He is an applied econometrician with an interest in the fields of Banking, Financial Economics and Financial Intermediation. His current and on-going research lies in the area of Financial Stability, Financial management, Efficiency, and Productivity Analysis with specific interest in: Fintech, Regulation, Competition, Macro prudential policy, Household Finance and Economic Behaviour, Corporate governance and Risk, M&As, Systemic risk, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Microfinance and Energy.
